The Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival is a chain-rattling Minnesota mountain biking event you don’t want to miss. Whether you’re a cross-country spandex warrior, free-ridin’ adrenaline junkie or family that craves adventure, good times are guaranteed. Get ready to celebrate our world-class Duluth bike trails with two days of action-packed events.
Short Enduro: Two primarily downhill stages utilizing Spirit Mountain's beginner level gravity flow trails.
Long Enduro: Four primarily downhill stages utilizing the same runs as the short race along with 2 additional stages along more advanced and technical terrain.
Downhill: Racers will have two timed runs down Spirit Mountain's expert level trail "Calculated Risk". The best of the two runs will count in the standings. Full Face helmet required.
Youth Downhill: The youth downhill race will be open to riders who have a bit of bike handling skills regardless of their age. All riders will be racing down the beginner level flow trail, "Candyland". To help keep things fair there will be two age categories a 5-9 year old age class and a 10-15 year old age class. This race is geared towards the young, up and coming downhill riders that are the riders and racers of the future.
Kids Downhill: A free event to participate in throughout the day. A very mellow path will wind down the base of Spirit Mountain and is aimed at the youngest of young riders! This course is all about FUN and developing bike handling skills. Spend some time here with your little one getting them introduced to the thrill of gravity!
Bike Tour: Untimed, casual road bike tour leaving from the Grand Avenue Chalet. Route uses a combination of bike paths and paved roads along the beautiful St. Louis River valley and Jay Cooke State Park.
