HOW TO APPLY:
Click the drop-down arrow to select number of individual entries you will be registering and paying for. IE: Mother and daughter want to run as individuals, you would select 2. If it is just yourself, select 1. From there, you will be brought to the contact information and payment page. All fields will need to be entered and payment received to be registered for the Shuffle.
Teams will need to designate a captain who will then create your team If you are are a business or organization, multiple teams can be created and paid for at once by selecting the drop-down arrow and the number of teams you would like to register. IE: "XYZ" Business and Co. would like to register 4 teams, so they would select 4 and enter names for each team and make payment. If you are only submitting one team, select 1.
After your team has been created, the Captain will need to notify Shuffle-mates, in order them to be registered fully for the event, what their team name is and have them register by selecting "Join Team." Shuffle-mates will need to complete the form, select shirt size, and agree to the waiver. Multiple Shuffle-mates can be entered at once by selecting the drop-down arrow and the number of people joining a team. Maximum people per team is 5.
There will be 3 team divisions: Male, Female, and Co-ed. 5 participants max per team. Results will be based on the 4 fastest finishers of each team. For Co-ed teams, there must be at least 2 people of the opposite gender on the team. Maximum of 5 Shufflers per team.
The course will start and end at the Endion Station located next to Canal Park Lodge and will following along the Lakewalk. The Shuffle is an out and back course heading north towards Lief Erickson Park. Turn around point is past Lief Erickson and almost to the water treatment station. Once turned around, Shufflers are to head back to the finish line at the Endion Station.**
**WALKERS, SHUFFLERS, RUNNERS:
We want the Shuffle to be an enjoyable experience for everyone, so please place yourselves appropriately at the starting line based on whether you will be walking, shuffling, or running the course. Runners, please place yourselves closer to the front. If you are planning to walk or shuffle the course, please place yourself closer to the mid or back of the starting line.
AGES: 6 and older—family friendly!
CHILD CARE: Child Care will be available at the Y while you race. Child care is included in your entry fee. Ages for Kids Club are 4 months-9 years of age.
SHOWERS: Free showers will be available at the Y after the race.
AWARDS AND RACE RESULTS: Award Ceremony will be held at the finish immediately following the race. Results will be posted on the Duluth Y website, www.duluthymca.org/sidewalkshuffle, www.northlandrunner.com, and www.duluthtiming.com/results.
AWARD CATEGORIES: Youth (6-12) Male & Female, Teen (13-17) Male & Female, Adult (18+) Male & Female, Teams Male & Female, Co-Ed Team
PARKING: Please allow yourself time to park and to get to the start line before the race start. The Y strongly suggests that you park at one of the nearby ramps and that you walk to the start line. Shufflers will receive free parking validation with proof of running bib for the Holiday Inn Ramp, Shoppers Auto Ramp, and the 4th Ave W. and Superior Street Ramp.
