Actor’s ACTivism

Young artists will use the vehicle of theatre to create a piece of work around social justice. Students will learn about topics like privilege and intersectionality in a safe, brave, and encouraging environment. Creating a piece of devised theatre.

Working collaboratively the young artists will address the following questions. What are the essentials of storytelling, What are the principles of collaborative theatre work? Through what lens will we look at an issue? How might privilege be used to support/voice/bring awareness to an issue? a. Privilege. b. Equality vs Equity. 

The young artists will be inspired to express themselves through poetry/written work, movement, music, and more.

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM - July 5 - 8, 2022
Cancellations at least two weeks before the start of a class will receive a full refund less a $30 processing fee. Cancellations less than two weeks before the first class will not receive a refund. In the event a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you can choose a full refund or future class credit.
