Your favorite Twin Cities kitchens & bar crews are coming together to throw an epic FUNDRAISER for our pal Tommy Begnaud.
On Wednesday, March 25th, Tommy was driving home from work when he was hit by a drunk driver. The other driver had run a stop sign and t-boned Tommy's car, completely crushing the driver side of the car and many of his bones. The majority of his injuries are in his hip which was broken in 6 different places. Four lower ribs have also been fractured along with two lower vertebrae. Thankfully and most importantly there are no spinal cord or brain injuries and he continues to be the colorful person we all know and love.
Unfortunately, the other driver was both unlicensed and uninsured. Additionally, the road to wellness will be long and trying, with time spent in a wheelchair, to a walker and eventually to a "really pimp" cane. With lawyer costs, unforeseen medical expenses and eventual home modifications anything goes a long way. As most of you know, Tommy is an Executive Chef and it will take some time before he can return to work.
So the local food community is stepping up and throwing a party in his honor. It will be an ALL YOU CAN EAT & DRINK SITUATION!!! We are serving a potluck style event, each chef/kitchen and bartender will be bringing one or two items to share. We have an awesome line-up and are so grateful to all those participating.
