1959 Pink Thunderbird: Laundry & Bourbon / Lone Star
presented by In Tandem Theatre
Thu May 15, 2014 @ 7:30pm
at Tenth Street Theatre (Milwaukee, WI)
by James McLure
In Laundry & Bourbon, a companion piece to Lone Star, the action centers on the tart and funny gossip of three small-town women whose lives have turned out to be less than they had hoped. Elizabeth confides that she hasn't seen her husband, Roy, in three days, her concern growing out of his inability to move forward since returning from Vietnam. The second one-act, Lone Star, finds Roy and his brother out back of the local bar as he tries to recapture the glory days of his past in this hilarious study of a pair of Texas brothers on a Saturday night carouse.
