Each year, the creative minds behind the Haunted Basement gather some of the most talented visual and performance artists around to push the boundaries of terror - bringing unimaginable nightmares to life in the dark depths of The Soap Factory's raw, industrial basement.

This year's Haunted Basement returns to its roots with a pathway of terror leading to artist created environments built throughout the entire 13,000 square feet of The Soap Factory's basement. You will be fed into the depths 2-4 at a time where you will be forced to wonder - will I be lost? Will I be separated from my group and forced down an even more unspeakably grotesque path of terror? Will I be stuck here indefinitely?

The answer is yes....all of that and more.

Over 75 artists, Directors and performers have come together this year to bring your worst fears and unimaginable horrors to life. We've been waiting all year for you.....and now its time.

Once you're on the path, there's no turning back.

There is no set time. You may be able to find your way out. You may be trapped in the nightmare until the Basement Creeps decide its time for you to be let out.

You will be required to sign a waiver before entering the Haunted Basement. You can download and sign your waiver at the link below to save time before you get here.

And remember - you can always say "Uncle".

We are also excited to announce the return of custom smells by Art and Olfaction Award nominated St. Croix Sensory, a partnership featured in The New Yorker in 2014. These custom smells round out the full scale immersive experience that is one of the many things that make The Soap Factory's Haunted Basement unique.

Also new this year is an exhibition in Gallery 1 of The Soap Factory's first floor space; a disturbing maze where you will be forced to wait until its your turn to be fed into the Basement. Curated by Noah Bremer, this exhibition will feature work by Rogue Taxidermist Scott a.a. Bibus and more!

The first floor gallery exhibition will also be open during gallery hours Wednesdays - Fridays 1-7pm and Sundays 12-5pm beginning September 24th.

The 2015 Haunted Basement is directed by Noah Bremer and curated by Noah Bremer and Associate Directors Chris Barton and Shannon Thorson. Visual artists include: Chip Limeburner (Montreal), Kasia Wasko, Anna Johnson, Terri Ristow, KJ Archer Ryan Sanderson, Walker Friend, William Erickson - and a secret guest.
